"New Technology welcomes students in Western Springs." Summary

This article is about how John Laidlaw Elementary School is using technology to further the learning of their students. This school is taking a step farther and using the latest technology (MacBook and ChromeBook) to enhance a student's experience. Teachers have the tools to record lessons for further use, and to play back to parents to show them their students progress in class. With the applications that MacBook and ChromeBook have, they are able to connect with other classes for assignments; as well as, other schools! This school understands not all students have the access to the internet at home, so there is a computer lab on campus in case of projects or out of class assignments. The educators are eager at the fact the students are responding well to the use of the technology in class and want more projects to do online, and in class.
